Thomas Kinkade’s Victorian Christmas

Victorian Christmas Thomas KinkadeThe Victorian Era took place from the 1830s to 1901. It was named after Queen Victoria of Great Britain who ruled during that time period. It was a period of time that was characterized by a growing Middle Class, peace, prosperity, leisure, better health and a greater emphasis on families, especially larger families in which the parents got married at a young age.

We can see some of these qualities in this picture created by Thomas Kinkade. He shows children playing in the snow, families walking home possibly from the Christmas Eve church service, a beautiful ornate home and peacefulness. This picture is a lovely, sentimental trip into the past to see how our ancestors enjoyed the Christmas Season. You can find it and other Christmas Jigsaw Puzzles at A+ Puzzles, Etc.
